Who is Joe Pettis?
Joe Pettis is a current stand-up comic and former senior class vice president (CCHS 2001). After graduating college with a degree in American Literature, he stopped reading books to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. He has spent the last 15 years touring all over North America - headlining shows in the US as well as Mexico and Canada. In 2023, he recorded his first comedy album, Live at the 40 Watt Club.
Joe's television appearances include Adult Swim's Daytime Fighting League and Discovery's Six Degrees with Mike Rowe. He is a regular on Doug Benson's podcast, Doug Loves Movies. Joe has performed at over 30 festivals, including the Nashville Comedy Fest, Laughing Skull Comedy Fest, Charleston Comedy Fest, SweetWater 420 Fest, Southern Fried Gaming Expo, and more.
As the founder of 1UP Comedy, Joe produces over 100 shows every year throughout Georgia. Rolling Stone listed his shows among the "5 Cool Things to Discover in Atlanta." He's hosted the world's longest running brewery comedy show at SweetWater Brewing Company since 2011.
When not performing, Joe spends time on his farm riding his four-wheeler and hanging out with his wife and their numerous animals.
